Data Matrix
[Default = Both normal and inverse symbol types are
enabled]. The Data Matrix reference decode algorithm is
able to handle “negative” or “inverse video” symbols in
which the nominally dark areas are represented as light,
and vice versa. This is to accommodate inverse symbols
produced by direct marking techniques on certain sub-
strates (see Figure 26).
Data Matrix Black on White [Default = enabled]. Enabling
activates “negative” (black on white) symbols as a read-
able/decodable symbol.
Data Matrix White On Black
[Default = enabled]. Enabling
activates reading of “inverse video” (white on black) for-
mat images as a readable/decodable symbol.
Data Matrix Rectangular Symbols
[Default = enabled]. Data
Matrix Rectangular Symbols option may be enabled or
disabled.
