INFORMATION: The RS-485 digital interface (2 lines/half-duplex)

is characterised by a very high tolerance to electromagnetic inter‐

ference due to the symmetrical signal transmission. This means

that cable lengths of up to 900 metres can be used. The final

device in a bus must be equipped with a 120 Ohm resistor to avoid

signal overlapping. To avoid damage, only disconnect and connect

the cables of the RS-485 interface when the DULCO turb C is

switched off.
