3.3 Ultrasonic cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning is used for the continuous cleaning of the cuv‐
ette. It is not intended for cleaning cuvettes that are already dirty,
nor can it replace manual cleaning. However, the cleaning intervals
for manual cleaning can be significantly extended by the use of this
system. The use of a cuvette with an ultrasonic transducer is
required for operation. The system emits an ultrasonic frequency
via a spring to a piezoelectric transducer, which is connected to the
base of the cuvette through which the fluid flows. The cuvette's
detection system only operates in
[AUTO] operating mode.
