In the
Gas Type
menu the user can select a relevant correction factor for each channel indepen-
dently.
In addition, the user may de ine any other gas correction factor in a range from . to . , which
makes the controller more universal. Table . present some of factors not implemented in the
MG .
For passive gauges correct readings of pressure are achieved by multiplying the readings by the
correction factor according to the following formula:

Note
Nominal correction factors cannot be treated as ideal (giving high precision of
measurements), because they differ even for identically manufactured gauges.
Greater discrepancies exist for different gauges types, ilament materials or op-
eration voltages. The discrepancies generally do not exceed
% for popular
gauge types and increase to the value slightly exceeding
% for less popular
gas types.
