General guidelines on working with the
machine
Safety advice:
See Supplement-A1, pt. 2.10
The p.t.o must be switched off when carrying out any work
in the rotor area.
Do not enter rotor area while drive motor is
running.
Lower machine to working height of "75 cm" using tractor's
hydraulics (see sketch).
To achieve clean raking, rotor should be as horizontal as
possible. Only a very small inclination forward is allowed.
Set this inclination via the upper link (7)
Adjust the tine height using the crank handle (8). If set too
low the fodder becomes dirty or the turf damaged.
The optimum area efficiency is attained through appropriate
gear and speed selection matched to the respective fodder
and soil conditions.
Working height "75 cm"
TD 28/94/10
75 cm
Do not allow the overload clutch to react for any longer
than 10 secs.
If overload occurs, change down a gear.
If the cardan shaft is bending severly, turn the pto off
beforehand.

OPERATION
Should the tines pull the fodder out of the swath back onto
the strip already raked (unclean work), reduce the pto speed.
Where there are extremely uneven surfaces (like gullies,
crossings, etc), raise the machine in order to prevent
damage.
Caution!
Machine swings automatically to the
middle position when lifted and is locked
in this position. Pay attention that the
swivelling machine does not endanger
anyone and does not hit solid obstacles.
The lock is automatically released when
lowering the machine.
Set the nut (M) so that the distance between the slide and
the headstock pin is "1 mm" (left + right).
Working on slopes
Beware!
When the machine is raised by the lifting
gear when taking bends, the rotor swivels
automatically to the middle position.
This can lead to dangerous situations in
sloping areas due to the rotor's inertia.
The damping struts (D) ensure that the swivelling procedure
is not jerky, but slow and continuous.
Settings on rotor chassis
Requirements:
- Level and solid ground
- 1.5 bar pressure in all tyres
- The machine is attached to the tractor and in the working
position
