63 Routine maintenance and troubleshooting
4.2.1 No slot option when downloading a profile
When you run a profile from DeltaT and select the Make permanent option you should be provided
with an option to select the slot into which to store the profile. If you do not see an option to select
the run slot, you have probably selected the incorrect freezer type in the configuration. Your freezer
type must be set to the
Liquidus Tracker for the run slot option to appear. Refer to the DeltaT
documentation for further details.
4.2.2 No slot option when retrieving a run
When you try to retrieve the last run using DeltaT you should be provided with an option to select the
slot from which to retrieve the run data. If you do not see an option to select the run slot, you have
probably selected a profile that does not use the correct freezer type in the configuration. The profile
that is selected must use a configuration with the freezer type set to the
Liquidus Tracker for the
run slot option to appear. Refer to the DeltaT documentation for further details.
4.2.3 Controller fails to respond
If the controller fails to respond to any key presses, then the system will need to be reset. This can
be done by pressing the
RST button on the side of the controller; see Manual override and reset
buttons . To operate the switch, use the tip of a ball point pen or other small stylus. Only press
the button briefly, i.e. less than 1 second to ensure that only the user interface is reset.
Note
Pressing the reset button will not terminate any profile that may be running. Once the processor
restarts it will attempt to continue running the current profile. Communication with the host
computer may be disrupted.
The manual override buttons on the side of the controller can be used to manually cool and warm
the chamber. These are not controlled via the main processor. If the controller has failed and there
are samples in the chamber, it may be possible to manually cool the samples. To do this, insert an
independent thermometer, suitable for use down to -200
o
C, in the chamber. Use the manual
override buttons to control the temperature displayed by the thermometer.
4.3 Returning for service
Should the system or any part need to be sent back to Planer plc for repair, or if the system is to be
inspected, maintained or repaired on-site by Planer plc personnel, the
Safety Declaration Form
must be completed.
