7. Fit the locating plate on top of the mixing blades.
8. Close the extraction line clamp

9. Fill the pot with the starting volume of cryoprotectant. This should be level with the top of the
extraction tube in the carrier and is the volume defined as
Vcon
in the liquidus tracker
configuration. See
Liquidus tracking parameters - single solution mode
. The concentration
must also be the same as the
Kstart
parameter.
10.Ensure that the cryoprotectant covers the top surface of the condyle. If it does not, either
packing pieces should be added to displace the solution or more cryoprotectant will need to be
added and the Liquidus tracking parameter readjusted.
11.Screw the lid of the pot onto the carrier.
12.Connect the injection line

to the container containing the cryoprotectant

collapsible container such as a flexible bag is used, this container will need to be fitting with an
inlet filter

to maintain sterile conditions in use.
13.Connect the extraction line

to the waste collection container
