43 Operating the system
Tip
The controller only traverses the table until it finds a temperature that is less than the target
temperature. As such, if you do not need all of the 10 available points, merely ensure that the last
point you enter has a temperature less than
TL . Additional points in the table will be ignored.
3.2.2.1.3.1 Target temperature
Before determining the target temperature, the current demand temperature is filtered to remove any
transient perturbations. The filtering is determined by two parameters,
Two and TWn . Two and
TWn are weights applied to the current temperature when calculating the pump drives. If TFiltered is
the filtered temperature and Tc is the current demand temperature, then on each cycle
TFiltered = (Two x TF + TWn x Tc) / (Two + TWn)
For the Dual solution mode , TFiltered is used for the target temperature and is then used to
determine the appropriate concentration using the Temperature-concentration curve .
In Single solution mode, the target temperature is determined at the start of each injection phase;

Single solution mode . Using the current cooling rate and the current TFiltered, the controller
predicts the temperature that the system will have reached at the end of the complete, injection-
stand-extraction cycle. This temperature is then used as the target temperature for calculating the
required concentration.
