Using the FUNCTION
menu
Va r ious functions can be called out acco r ding to the
p laye r ’s o p e r ating status.
1 Display the FUNCTION menu.
P r ess FUNCTION du r ing p layback.
2 Select and set the item.
Use  /  to select, then pr ess ENTER .
Note
• Items that cannot be changed a r e dis p layed in g r ay.
The items that can be selected de p end on the p laye r ’s
status.

• Selectable items de p end on the ty p e of disc.
• The ty p es of r eco r ded seconda r y audio st r eams
de p end on the disc and file.
• Some discs do not include seconda r y audio/
seconda r y video.
• In some cases, the seconda r y audio/seconda r y video
may switch o r the switching sc r een pr ovided on the
disc may be dis p layed immediately, without the
cu rr ent seconda r y audio/seconda r y video o r the total
numbe r of seconda r y audio/seconda r y video st r eams
r eco r ded on the disc being dis p layed.
Playing from a specific time
(Time Search)
1 Select Time.
Use  /  to select, then pr ess ENTER .
2 Input the time.
Use the numbe r buttons (0 to 9) to in p ut the time.
• To p lay f r om 45 minutes, in p ut 0 , 0 , 4 , 5 , 0 and 0 , then
pr ess ENTER .
• To p lay f r om 1 hou r 20 minutes, in p ut 0 , 1 , 2 , 0 , 0 and
0 , then pr ess ENTER .
• P r ess CLEAR to clea r the values you have in p ut.
3 Starting playback from the specified time.
P r ess ENTER .
Playing a specific title,
chapter, track or file (Search)
1 Select Title or Chapter (track/file).

to select, then pr ess ENTER .
2 Input the Title or Chapter (track/file) number.

• To sea r ch fo r title 32, in p ut 3 and 2 , then pr ess
ENTER .

3 Starting playback from the specified title, chapter
or track.

Item Description
Title Dis p lay the title info r mation fo r the
cu rr ently p laying disc and total numbe r
of titles on the disc. Also select the title
you want to
p lay. (See the following
desc r i p tion.)
Cha p te r (t r ack/file)
1 Dis p lay the info r mation fo r the cu rr ently
p laying cha p te r (t r ack/file) and total
numbe r of cha p te r s in the disc. Also
select the cha p te r (t r ack/file) you want to
p lay. (See the following desc r i p tion.)
Time Dis p lay the ela p sed o r r emaining time.
Also ente r the time f r om which you want
to sta r t p layback. (See the following
desc r i p tion.)
Mode Switch the p lay mode ( p age 27).
Audio Switch the audio.
Angle Switch the BD-ROM/DVD-Video disc’s
came
r a angle.
Subtitle Switch the subtitle language.
Code Page Switch the subtitle code p age.
Seconda r y Video
2 Switch the BD-ROM’s seconda r y video
(Pictu r e-in-Pictu r e).
Seconda r y Audio

Switch the BD-ROM’s seconda r y audio.
Bit r ate Dis p lay the bit r ate of the audio/video/
seconda r y video/seconda r y audio.
Still off Switch off the BD-ROM’s still p ictu r e.
Ins Sea r ch Ski p fo r wa r d 30 seconds.
Ins Re p lay Ski p backwa r d 10 seconds.
Slide Show Switch the p layback s p eed while p laying
the p ictu r e slide show.
T r ansition Change the style of the slide show while
p laying the p ictu r e slide show.
1. One of these ty p es of info r mation is dis p layed, de p ending on the
ty p e of disc.
2. Seconda r y video ma r k is dis p layed fo r scenes at which seconda r y
video is r eco r ded if PIP Mark is set to On ( p age 36).
3. Seconda r y audio ma r k is dis p layed fo r scenes at which seconda r y
audio is r eco r ded if Secondary Audio Mark is set to On
( p age 36).
