Getting Started
Making settings using
the Setup Navigator
menu
Be su r e to p e r fo r m these settings when using the p laye r
in the following situations.
• When you use the p laye r fo r the fi r st time.
• Afte r Initial Setup fo r mat.
• Afte r u p dating the p laye r ’s softwa r e.
Caution
• Befo r e tu r ning on the p owe r , check that the
connections between the p laye r and othe r devices a r e
co rr ect. Also, tu r n on the p owe r of the devices
connected to the p laye r befo r e tu r ning on the p laye r ’s
p owe r .
• When using a Pionee r Flat Sc r een TV o r f r ont
pr ojecto r com p atible with the Cont r ol function, set
Cont r ol to On on the connected device befo r e tu r ning
on the p laye r ’s p owe r .
Note
• When a Pionee r Flat Sc r een TV o r f r ont pr ojecto r
com p atible with the Cont r ol function is connected to
the p laye r using an HDMI cable, the p laye r is
automatically set to the o p timum p ictu r e quality fo r
the connected device.
1 Turn on the TV’s power and switch the input.
See the TV’s o p e r ating inst r uctions fo r the details of
o p e r ating the TV.
2 Turn on the player’s power.
P r ess  STANDBY/ON .
Check that the Setup Navigator menu is dis p layed.
 If the Setup Navigator menu is not
displayed

Press HOME MENU to display the Home
Menu, select Initial Setup

Setup Navigator

Start, then press ENTER.
3 Start Setup Navigator.
P r ess ENTER .
• Setup Navigator sta r ts.
4 Select the OSD language.
Use  /  to select, then pr ess ENTER .
When a Pionee r Flat Sc r een TV that is com p atible with
Cont r ol function is connected to this p laye r ’s HDMI OUT
te r minal, language settings a r e im p o r ted f r om the
Pionee r Flat Sc r een TV’s language settings befo r e Setup
Navigator begins.
5 Select the appropriate output resolution for the
connected TV.
Use  /  to select, then pr ess ENTER .
6 Select the appropriate aspect for the connected
TV.

/

to select, then pr ess ENTER .
7 Close the Setup Navigator menu.
P r ess ENTER .
• Setup Navigator finishes and the setting is sto r ed.
• P r ess RETURN to go back to the pr evious
sc r een.
