Connecting video and
audio cables
Note
• Make the settings in the Setup Navigator menu
acco r ding to the ty p e of cable connected ( p age 20).
• To out p ut video signals f r om this p laye r , connect
using a video cable (not including when connected
using an HDMI cable).
Connecting a TV using a
video/audio cable
Caution
• Connect the player’s video output directly to
your TV.
This p laye r su pp o r ts the analog co p y pr otection
technology. The r efo r e, the p ictu r e may not be
dis p layed pr o p e r ly if this p laye r is connected to a TV
via a DVD r eco r de r /video deck o r when p laying the
p laye r ’s out p ut mate r ial that is r eco r ded by a DVD
r eco r de r /video deck. Fu r the r mo r e, the p ictu r e may
not be dis p layed pr o p e r ly due to the co p y pr otection
when the p laye r is connected to a TV with a built-in
video deck. Fo r details, contact the manufactu r e r of
you r TV.

• Video signals a

o r 480/576P when this p laye r is connected using a
video cable.

About USB devices
The USB devices that can be connected to the p laye r a r e
as shown below.
• USB 2.0-com p atible USB flash d r ive (ca p acity of 1 GB
o r g r eate r , 2 GB o r g r eate r r ecommended) o r HDD
(ca p acity 2 TB o r less)
• File system: FAT16, FAT32 o r NTFS
Note
• Devices fo r matted with a file system othe r than the
above cannot be used. Such devices may howeve r be
usable if they a r e fo r matted f r om the p laye r .
• USB devices may not be r ecognized if they contain
multi p le p a r titions.
• Some USB devices may not o p e r ate with this p laye r .
• O p e r ation of USB devices is not gua r anteed.
