Connecting the USB device
Caution
• Be su r e to tu r n the p laye r ’s p owe r off befo r e
connecting o r disconnecting USB devices.
• Use em p ty USB devices (on which nothing is sto r ed).
• When using an exte r nal ha r d disk as the exte r nal
sto r age device, be su r e to tu r n on the ha r d disk's
p owe r befo r e tu r ning on the p laye r 's p owe r .
• If the USB device is w r ite- pr otected, be su r e to disable
the w r ite- pr otection.
• When connecting the USB cable, hold onto the p lug,
set the p lug in the pr o p e r di r ection fo r the p o r t and
inse r t it ho r izontally.
• Placing excessive loads on the p lug may r esult in
p oo r contact, making it im p ossible to w r ite data on
the USB device.
• When a USB device is connected and the p laye r ’s
p owe r is tu r ned on, do not un p lug the p owe r co r d.
Note
• Devices may not wo r k if connected to the USB p o r t via
a memo r y ca r d r eade r o r USB hub.
• Use a USB cable with a length of 2 mete r s o r less.
Connecting to the
network through LAN
interface
By connecting this p laye r to the netwo r k via the LAN
te r minal, you can p lay audio files sto r ed on the
com p onents on the netwo r k, including you r com p ute r ,
using HOME MEDIA GALLERY in p uts.
Connect the LAN te r minal on this r eceive r to the LAN
te r minal on you r r oute r (with o r without the built-in DHCP
se r ve r function) with a st r aight LAN cable (CAT 5 o r
highe r ).
Tu r n on the DHCP se r ve r function of you r r oute r . In case
you r r oute r does not have the built-in DHCP se r ve r
function, it is necessa r y to set u p the netwo r k manually.
