It is only when WEP is used that an additional MAC filter may be useful. If an interface is not
in "Access Point" mode, the filter table cannot be used.

Default policy
"Default policy" defines what should happen to a MAC address from the filter table. A client
can either be explicitly blocked (blacklist) or permitted (whitelist). The configuration of a
"whitelist" is always useful because no clients can then be forgotten during blocking.
Syslog
If this option is selected, a message is generated in the event log if a connection attempt is
denied because it is either not permitted or blocked.
Add new filter
To create a new entry in the filter table, the MAC address of the client must be entered in the
following format xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (e.g., 00:50:C2:48:A2:28). In addition, the interface on
which the filter entry is to be applied must be specified. Under "Action", an entry can be set
to "inactive" to disable it temporarily. Once the entry is complete, select "Add entry".
