User interface

The "User interface" menu contains an option for setting the web interface language to

English or German. In addition, the VLAN configuration dialog box can also be activated

here. When the "Enable VLAN" checkbox is activated, the option to configure the VLAN is

available under "WLAN device/Network/VLAN 802.1Q".

Figure 3-23

"User interface" menu

The "Save and apply" drop-down box offers two options; "apply immediately & do not save"

or "save only & do not apply".

Meaning of the two "Save and apply" options

apply immediately & do not save: This function displays an "Apply" button on all WLAN AP

configuration pages, which can be used to implement changes immediately. To retain the

modified configuration after a restart, save by clicking on the flashing floppy disk icon.

save only & do not apply: This function displays a "Save" button on all WLAN AP

configuration pages. Modified settings are not applied, but are saved.

The "Please wait" dialog box, which is displayed when sending a page, is not displayed.

Instead of the floppy disk icon, a "Restart" icon flashes, which links to the start page where

a restart can be triggered. The "Please wait" dialog box only appears on special pages.

Change password

The password can be changed by entering the password that is currently valid.
