FREQ indications
CTL DISPLAY
Selects the 12- or 24-hour format for the CTL counter display.
±12h:
12-hour format display
24h
: 24-hour format display
TCG MODE
Sets the operating mode of the internal time code generator.
REGEN:
Synchronizes the internal time code generator to maintain continuity with the last time code
recorded on the P2 card.
PRESET:
Starts recording from the value set with the [TC PRESET] button.
EXT:
Uses the external time code input from the TIME CODE IN connector or VITC or SLTC of the
video signal. Set the selection in the “EXT TC SEL” (
➝
page 100) menu item.
UBG MODE
Sets the operating mode for the user bits of the internal time code generator.
REGEN:
Synchronizes the internal time code generator with the last user bit recorded on a P2 card.
PRESET:
Starts recording from the value set with the [TC PRESET] button.
EXT:
Uses the external UB input from the TIME CODE IN connector or VITC or SLTC of the video
signal. Set the selection in the “EXT TC SEL” (
➝
page 100) menu item.
RUN MODE
Sets the operating mode for advancing the internal time code generator.
REC RUN:
Advances the internal time code generator only during recording.
FREE RUN
: Advances the internal time code generator while the power is on regardless of
the operating mode.
EXT TC SEL
Sets the time code to use when an external time code is used.
EXT LTC:
LTC of TIME CODE IN connector.
S/H LTC:
LTC information added to the signals input to the SDI IN connector or HDMI IN con-
nector.
S/H VITC:
VITC information added to the signals input to the SDI IN connector or HDMI IN
connector.
Note:
When “S/H LTC” or “S/H VITC” is set and “SD SDI” is selected as the input video signal,
the VITC of the input video signal is used.
VITC GEN
Sets whether to record the internal time code generator value in the VAUX area.
ON:
Records the internal time code generator value.
OFF:
Does not record the internal time code generator value. When the VITC information is
superimposed on the input video signal, that value is recorded.
Note:
When the “LINE&FREQ” menu item is set to “720-59.94P” or “720-50P,” the operation is
as follows.
• Time code data recorded in the VAUX area:
Even if this menu item is set to OFF, the internal time code generator value is recorded
when VITC information is not superimposed on the input video signal
• User bit data recorded in the VAUX area:
The frame rate information is always recorded regardless of the setting of this menu
item.
DF MODE
Sets the drop frame mode or non-drop frame mode for CTL and TCG.
DF:
Uses drop frame mode.
NDF:
Uses non-drop frame mode.
VITC BLANK
Selects whether to output VITC signals at the positions specified in the “VITC POS-1” and
“VITC POS-2” menu items during playback.
BLANK:
Does not output a VITC signal.
THROUGH:
Outputs VITC signals.
Note:
• This setting is enabled only during SD SDI output.
• In EE mode, the VITC signal superimposed on the input signal is output as is.
