FREQ indications
REC MEDIA
Selects the slots for recording.
microP2:
Uses the microP2 memory card slots (card slots 1 and 2).
P2:
Uses the P2 memory card slot (card slot 3).
Note:
Recording is not possible for a slot that is not selected but playback is possible. The slot
indication is the same as that of a card for which recording is prohibited.
FILE SPLIT
Selects whether to split the recording file every 4 GB or record one file when recording to a
microP2 memory card (over 32 GB) in the AVC-LongG format.
ONE FILE:
Records to one file.
SPLIT:
Splits the clip every 4 GB.
SHORT SPLIT:
The clip is split every 128 seconds regardless of the recording format.
Note:
If you select “ONE FILE,” that clip will not be able to be copied to a P2 memory card or a
32 GB microP2 memory card or copied or exported to a storage device.
Also, “ONE FILE” cannot be selected when an option other than “OFF” is set in the menu
“CODEC USAGE” (
➝
page 99).
When “SHORT SPLIT” is selected, the clip is split into recording files of approximately 128
seconds each, but is handled as a single clip when the thumbnail is operated on the P2
device. The duration of one continuous recording is approximately 3.5 hours. After ap-
proximately 3.5 hours pass, recording stops and “REC WARNING” appears.
“SHORT SPLIT” is disabled during loop recording.
CC REC
Selects whether to record a closed caption signal superimposed on the SD SDI input signal.
ON:
Records a closed caption signal superimposed on an input signal.
OFF:
Does not record a closed caption signal. The EE output is also blanked.
CC(F1) BLANK
Turns on or off closed caption signals in the first field output from the SD SDI during play-
back.
BLANK:
Forcibly blanks signals.
THROUGH:
Does not blank signals.
CC(F2) BLANK
Turns on or off closed caption signals in the second field output from the SD SDI during play-
back.
BLANK:
Forcibly blanks signals.
THROUGH:
Does not blank signals.
SHUTTLE MAX
Sets the maximum speed for the shuttle operation.
X8:
8 x normal speed
X16:
16 x normal speed
X32:
32 x normal speed
X60:
60 x normal speed
X100:
100 x normal speed
FF.REW MAX
Sets the maximum speed for the FF and REW operation.
X32:
32 x normal speed
X60:
60 x normal speed
X100:
100 x normal speed
SEEK:
Seeks (moves to) the beginning of the clip
SEEK POS SEL
Sets the positions to which to move with the seek (movement) operations performed by
pressing the [NEXT] button and [PREV] button.
CLIP:
Beginning of the clip
CLIP&TEXT MEMO:
Beginning of the clip or the setting point of a text memo
