Main Mode: Using the Unit Connected to a Network
INFRA Mode
These settings are for connecting with a wireless access
point.

Select “WLAN” in the “NETWORK SEL” (

105) menu setting.
When you change these settings, restart the unit if neces-
sary.

Select “INFRA” in the “WIRELESS PROPERTY” -
“TYPE” (
➝
page 106) menu setting.

Configure each item in the “WIRELESS PROPER-
TY” (
➝
page 106) menu setting as necessary.
Set “SSID,” “ENCRYPTION,” and “ENCRYPT KEY” in ac-
cordance with the wireless access point to which the unit
will connect.
MAC ADDRESS
:
MAC address of the wireless LAN (This cannot be
changed.)
BAND
:
Setting that switches between 2 transmission methods
(2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) (Factory setting:“2.4GHz”) (Cannot be
set)
CHANNEL (2.4GHz)
:
Channel used when set to 2.4 GHz (Factory setting: “AU-
TO”) (Cannot be set)
CHANNEL (5GHz)
:
Channel used when set to 5 GHz (Factory setting: “AU-
TO”) (Cannot be set)
SSID INPUT MODE:
Select “MANUAL” to set this manually and select “SE-
LECT” to select from the connection destination list.
CHANNEL:
Channel to use (Factory default setting: AUTO) (This can-
not be set.)
ENCRYPTION:
Encryption method to use (Factory default setting: WPA2-
AES)
DHCP:
Set whether to use automatic assignment by DHCP (EN-
ABLE: Use automatic assignment / DISABLE: Do not use
automatic assignment) (Factory default setting: ENABLE)
IP ADDRESS:
IP address of unit (Factory default setting: 192.168.0.1)
SUBNET MASK:
Subnet mask (Factory default setting: 255.255.255.0)
DEFAULT GATEWAY:
Default gateway (Factory default setting: 192.168.0.254)
PRIMARY DNS:
Primary DNS server setting (Factory default: 0.0.0.0) (If
DHCP is set to “ENABLE” and assignment from the DNS
server is possible, the value will be overwritten by the ex-
ternally assigned DNS server value. The value is unset
when it is “0.0.0.0.”)
SECONDARY DNS:
Alternate DNS server setting (Factory default: 0.0.0.0) (If
“DHCP” is set to “ENABLE” and assignment from the DNS
server is possible, the value will be overwritten by the ex-
ternally assigned DNS server value. The value is unset
when it is “0.0.0.0.”)
DHCP SERVER:
Set whether to use the DHCP SERVER function (ENABLE:
Use the “DHCP” SERVER function / DISABLE: Do not use
the DHCP SERVER function) (Factory default setting: EN-
ABLE) (This cannot be set.)

Enter the SSID and password (encryption key) of the
connection destination wireless point.
(When setting manually)
1) Select "MANUAL" in "SSID INPUT MODE."
2) Set the SSID of the connection destination wireless ac-
cess point to the SSID of this unit.
• Factory default setting: AJ-PG50
3) Set the password of the connection destination wireless
access point to the password set in "ENCRYPT KEY" of
this unit.
• Factory default setting:

(When acquiring from list)
1) Select "SELECT" in "SSID INPUT MODE."
2) Use the cursor buttons to select a SSID and press the
[SET] button.
• The SSID connection destination list screen (
➝
page
69) appears.
• If you select an SSID and then press the [SET] button
while pressing the [SHIFT] button, the selected SSID
is deleted from the connection history.
• If you select [DELETE ALL HISTORY] and then press
the [SET] button, all SSID are deleted from the con-
nection history.
3) Set the password of the connection destination wireless
access point to the password set in “ENCRYPT KEY” of
this unit.

Check the network connection.
When the settings are complete, check whether the net-
work connection between this unit and the wireless access
point is correct.
If the network connection is correctly established, the net-
work status icon at the top right of the thumbnail screen
turns yellow and you can use the applications for using the
network (P2 Browser (
➝
page 72) and FTP Client functions
(
➝
page 74)).
