Installing and removing the card and modules
The RGN-3GSF is a single-width card that requires one shelf slot for installation. When the installation
environment requires the card to operate within the normal temperature range (-5°C to 55°C [23°F to
131°F]), the card can be installed in any Optelian mounting platform. When the installation environment
requires the card to operate within the extended temperature range (-40°C to 65°C [-40°F to 149°F]), the
card must be installed in an OMS-2190 mounting platform.

Installing the card and SFP modules
1.
Pull firmly on the latches and ensure they are in the open position.
2.
Insert the card into a valid slot, and push gently until the card engages with the backplane:
•
OMS-2190 or OMS-219: slots 2 to 4
•
OMS-7190, OMS-719 or OMS-519: slots 1 to 13
Note:
The card can be installed in a powered shelf.
