Configure third-party SFP modules
To configure the system to allow or block the use of third-party SFP modules, proceed as follows.
1.
Configure the
Allow third party SFP
setting as follows:
a.
Disabled
- this locks out the use of third-party (non-Optelian) SFP modules. When set to
Disabled
, the
sfpInvalid
alarm is raised when a non-Optelian SFP is installed.
b.
Enabled
- this allows third-party (non-Optelian) SFP modules to be used in the card. When set to
Enabled
, the
sfpInvalid
alarm is not raised when a non-Optelian SFP is installed.
Note:
When using third-party SFP modules, the card performance and/or behavior may be affected.
Optelian assumes no liability for performance or behavior issues when third-party SFP modules are
used in the card.
Click
Apply
to implement the configuration, and click
Save Config
to save the settings. Reset the card
by clicking the
Soft Reset
button at the bottom of the screen.

Click
Close
to exit the screen.
