· The measurement results can be erased by setting the MODE button to another mode.
· Measurement will not start when the scale display is OFF.
· When the distance measurement (or another measurement item) is selected while the image is zoomed, zooming is
canceled automatically to the 1X display. (The measurement results cannot be saved with the 2X and 4X zoom
magnifications.) To cancel measurement in the middle, press the MENU button.
· The measurement data is hidden when the zoom display is initiated. If the image is photographed under this condition,
no measurement data will be recorded in the photo. The measurement data re-appears when zooming is canceled to
the 1X display.
· Select one of the scale names “ON1” to “ON7” in which the photographing magnification is set, and press the
SET/OK button to set the scale display ON.
· Provided that the menu is not displayed and the DP20 is in a record mode, the scale names can be switched in
order from “ON1” by pressing the MENU (or MODE) button while holding the SET/OK button (press the MENU
button for switching in the descending order or the MODE button for ascending order).
(Note) It is mandatory to set the scale display (i.e. input the
photographing magnification) before starting
measurements.
Measurement can be started only when the display
resolution if UXGA 1600 x 1200 or SVGA 800 x 600.
In the “Scale display range” setting, select either
(Display scale and measurements in both display and
recorded picture) or (Display scale and measurements
only on the display screen). When you want to save
the measurement results in the recorded pictures,
select “ (Display scale and measurements in
both display and recorded picture)” before pressing the
EXPOSE button. If the focusing area, focusing indicator
and/or metering area are displayed, they are also saved
in the picture together with the measurement results.
1. When is selected, the + (blue) cursor appears on the image center,
indicating that the distance measurement mode is activated.
2. Press cross-cursor button , , or to move the + cursor to the point
you want to set as the measurement start point, and press the SET/OK
button.
3. Move the + cursor to the point you want to set as the end point, and
press the SET/OK button.
4. The start and end points are connected with a line and the + cursor
returns to the image center.
5. Move the + cursor to the position you want to display the measurement
results, and press the SET/OK button.
}The maximum number of measurements is 10 including other
measurement items.
}If measurement is impossible, the + cursor turns from blue to red and no
more input is accepted. In this case, restart the procedure from the
beginning.
