1. Double-click on the disconnect icon on the taskbar of the PC screen.
2. When the hardware device list is displayed, select “OLYMPUS(R) DP20
MICROSCOPE DIGITAL CAMERA SYSTEM” and click on [Stop]. Hereafter,
disconnect the hardware device by following the instructions given by
the dialog boxes to be displayed successively.
When the OS is Windows
R
2000, the hardware device can also be
disconnected by opening the [Control Panel], selecting [Add/Remove
Programs] and then selecting “OLYMPUS(R) DP20 MICROSCOPE DIGITAL
CAMERA SYSTEM”.
3. Set the main switch of the DP20 control box to “ ” (OFF) and then the
power switch of the PC to “ ” (OFF).
4. Unplug the USB 2.0 cable from the DP20 control box.
5. Unplug the other end of the USB 2.0 cable from the PC.

Downloading Pictures in the CF Card to the PC
Pictures recorded in the CF card installed in the camera system can be downloaded in the PC.
1. Start the software installed in the PC.
2. Select [Camera] in the menu bar then select [Download All Images ].
All pictures in the CF card are downloaded from it to the PC.
Only the selected pictures can be loaded in the computer by selecting
the desired pictures in advance.
For details, refer to the description in [Help].
The pictures loaded in the PC can be viewed with other application software than the provided software, for
example graphic software handling JPEG/TIFF (PaintShop Pro, PhotoShop, etc.) or Internet browser software
(Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.).
PC disconnection procedure
}To prevent malfunction of the DP20 and/or PC, always use the following procedure when disconnecting the DP20 and
PC. Also confirm that execution of any processing on the DP20 and PC has completed before proceeding to the
disconnection.
