• Always use the minimum level of illumination necessary for
adequate viewing. Whenever possible, avoid close,
stationary viewing of mucous membranes for a long time.
Intense endoscopic illumination may cause mucosal burns.
• Do not bring the metal plug of the light guide and the distal
end of the endoscope immediately after use in contact with
the body and flammable objects because the parts will be
extremely hot.
• Be sure to set the brightness control mode of the light source
to manual mode or turn the examination lamp OFF before
disconnecting the camera head from the endoscope or
disconnecting the videoscope from the video system center.
Disconnecting them can increase the light intensity to the
maximum and may cause burns or eye injury.
Refer to the instruction manual of the endoscope for details
of the electric shutter function.
