When using an endoscope for the sterilized zone
1.
Hold the endoscope stable to avoid wash-out of the monitor image, and
enlarge the image to the full monitor, monitoring a white object such as a
piece of gauze in such a way that it does not contact the endoscope.
2.
Maintaining the stable condition in step 1., press the “Wh/B” button until a
short beep is generated. The result of white balance adjustment will be
displayed on the monitor for a few seconds (see Table 4.3).
3.
Confirm that the “Wh/B OK” indicator is ON (see Table 4.1). If it is OFF, go
back to step 1. again.
For NBI observation
When connecting an NBI compatible endoscope, perform the white balance
adjustment for NBI observation after the white balance adjustment for normal
light observation has been performed.
1.
Adjust the white balance for normal light observation according to “For
normal light observation” on page 53.
2.
Switch to the NBI mode by operating the mode button of the light source.
Refer to the instruction manual of the light source.
3.
Confirm that “NBI” appears on the monitor, and that the “NBI” indicator on
the front panel of the video system center turns from green to white.
4.
Hold the endoscope as shown in step 1. of “When using an endoscope for
the non-sterilized zone” on page 54 or step 1. of “When using an endoscope
for the sterilized zone” on page 55 according to the use of it.
