Brightness adjustment (Exposure)
The brightness of the live images can be adjusted. The lamp brightness is
automatically adjusted to keep the brightness of the image constant when the
light source is set to “AUTO”. The lamp brightness is manually adjusted to keep
the lamp brightness constant at the setting value when the light source is set to
“MAN.”. The function differs depending on the following conditions:
• The light source and its settings.
• The setting of the electric shutter function
(refer to “Electronic shutter” on page 240)

• The “EXPOSURE” indicator
is a dot display.

Adjust the brightness using the
brightness adjustment buttons on the
light source. The lamp brightness is
automatically adjusted to keep the image
brightness constant.
The “EXPOSURE” indicator
goes OFF.
MAN.
ON
Do not use this setting (see page 74).
The light intensity reaches its greatest
value, and excessive heat of the
endoscope's distal end may occur.
OFF
Adjust the brightness using the
brightness adjustment buttons on the
light source.
The “EXPOSURE” indicator
goes OFF.
