Getting started
Selecting/Copying/Cutting/Pasting text

While the keyboard is displayed, touch and hold entered
character string
• / , etc. appear. Drag / , etc. to move the cursor.

Tap the item to use
Item Description
Select all Select all entered characters.
Cut Cut out selected character string.
Copy Copy the selected character string.
Paste Paste copied/cut character string.
Information
• In horizontal view display, the display may be different.
• For some apps, the function may not be available or there may be
unavailable functions. And display of icon may be different or icon
other than ones in Step 2 may be displayed.
• Touch and hold an entry field in which any characters are not entered
to display a menu so that you can use "Select all", "Paste", "Clipboard"
(For some apps, it may be unavailable).

Setting Galaxy Japanese keyboard
You can set entry operations when entering characters using Galaxy
Japanese keyboard, register to the user dictionary, etc.

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "Settings" →
"General management" → "Language and input" → "On-
screen keyboard" → "Galaxy keyboard"

Tap an item you want to set
Item Description
Languages and
types Set input language and keyboard type.
Numbers and
symbols Set keyboard type of Numbers and symbols.
Japanese input
options Set flick input, word learning, wild card prediction,
voice input, etc.
Smart typing Set predictive text, text shortcuts and keyboard
swipe controls, etc.
Keyboard layout
and feedback Set keyboard layout and set to vibrate when you
tap the keyboard, etc.
Handwriting Set whether to display handwriting pad and to set
prediction type when S pen is detected.
Reset to default
settings Reset the keyboard settings and delete individual
setting data.
