Getting started
• Create note: Launch Galaxy Notes.
• View all notes: Launch Galaxy Notes and all of notes are displayed.
• Smart select: You can collect contents selected with the S Pen.
• Screen write: You can capture screenshots and write messages on
the captured screenshot.
• Live message: Create a live message (P.43).
• Translate: Hover the S Pen over a word or sentence and check the
translation. You can select the translation source and target language
on the translation toolbar at the top of the screen.
• PENUP: You can use PENUP (P.59).
• Add shortcuts: Add the app or the function to the air command.
You can register up to 10 shortcuts.

■ Floating icon
Switch to display (Air command icon).
■ When S Pen is removed
Set whether to display either air command or Galaxy Notes or don't
display anything when S Pen is detached.
■ Alarm
Set whether to notify by sound or popup if the S Pen is not being
attached for a certain period of time when the display is OFF.
• If you do not operate any operation after the first time warning, you will
hear two more notification sound until the display turns on. There will
be no more warning until you attach the S Pen and remove it again.
■ Power saver
To reduce the battery power consumption, set whether to disable
detection of S Pen operations while it is inserted in the terminal.
■ Sound
Set whether to make a sound when writing with the S Pen on the
screen, or inserting or removing the S Pen.
■ Vibration
Set whether to vibrate for insertion or removal of the S Pen into/from
this terminal.

Information
• If you select text on the screen while holding down the S Pen button,
you can copy, share, and perform other operations.
About S Pen remote control
• Charge the S Pen before using S Pen remote functions. When you
insert the S Pen into the slot, charging will start.
• When you detach the S Pen from the slot, will appear on the
status bar.
• In the following cases, the connection between the S Pen and the
terminal is disconnected and is displayed in the status bar. You
can reconnect by inserting again S Pen in S Pen slot.
- S Pen is discharged.
- S pen is far from the terminal.
- There are obstacles between the S Pen and the terminal.
- With the S Pen taken out, turn off the S Pen remote control once
and turn it on again.
• Even If the battery level of S Pen does not exist, you can use S
Pen functions except for S Pen remote (such as tap the screen, air
command).
• If you use other S Pen SC02 and insert in S Pen slot, tap →
"Reset S Pen" on the S Pen remote screen.
About Floating icon
• Drag (air command icon) to "Remove", you can delete it. To display
the icon again, from the Home screen, "apps folder" → "Settings" →
"Advanced features" → "S Pen" → turn off "Floating icon" once and
turn it on again.
• To use "Translate" of air command, Wi-Fi or mobile network is needed.
• Some languages are not supported in "Translate" on air command.
• "Translate" on air command is enabled only for highlighted text and
sentences.
