Notes:
•
You may have a later version of the SSU. The menus can differ slightly, but the steps are the
same.
•
The left column describes the Available Tasks, and the right column provides help on the
highlighted task. Indented items under the Available Tasks heading are configurable. The
headings are not configurable.
•
You can use the arrow keys on the keyboard or the mouse to move around the SSU window.
5. Press the down arrow to highlight the SEL Manager option (or double click with the mouse)
6. Press Tab twice to choose OK, and then press Enter.
Result: The list of hardware events appears.
7. You can view the event logs on the main SEL Manager’s screen by using the mouse to scroll
through the logs
8. Alternatively, you can save it to a file by pressing Alt+F to display the File menu.
9. Press the down arrow to choose Save As.
10. In the dialog box that appears, type a name for the file.
Note: The file name should contain no more than 8 characters plus the 3 character
extension.
11. Press Tab three times to move the cursor to the Drives list box (at the bottom of the screen).
12. Press the up arrow twice to choose the floppy disk drive (A:).
13. Insert a disk into the floppy disk drive (A:).
14. Press Tab to choose OK, and then press Enter.
Result: The file is saved to the floppy disk. When saving is finished, the following message
appears:
All SEL information has been saved.
15. Press Enter (to activate OK).
16. Press Alt+F to display the File menu.
17. Press the down arrow to choose Exit, and then press Enter.
Result: The System Setup Utility window appears.
