the Sound \English\AAPrompt folder
2. A Help option is available to gain further insight on the impact and implication of backing up
and restoring from each Backup Option. Just click Help on the main menu.
3. The first 4 categories of files are typically saved after a successful installation and cutover and
together they comprise the foundation necessary for a complete system-restore from a
crashed/corrupted state back to a fully functional condition. The AA files will not be accessible
if there were no call flows configured.
Note: If backup is done more than once on the same day, the previous data sets will be
overwritten by the subsequent same data sets. However, if there were new data set/s selected
then it/they will be appended into the whole backup set.
4. It is recommended to backup these system-critical files to a tape so that in case the hard disk
crashes, those files can still be restored and the system brought back up in the shortest time
possible.
Note: Files saved to the tape will also be automatically stored on the specified destination on
the hard drive, thus offering an added insurance
5. There are two types of media that the backup function can backup to: File (local /network
drive) or QIC (tape drive).
Note: Network drive is only available if it has been mapped. It will come up as a drive letter.
6. If the tape drive is not available, only the ‘File’ option will appear. Only one QIC (tape drive)
backup set will be kept at any one time. Subsequent backups will overwrite the previous data
on the tape.
Note: When QIC is selected, ALL data will be selected by default for backup. No selection is
allowed nor needed.
