Connecting to the Router using Telnet
If you are on the network, you can use a Telnet application to connect to the
router. You can use any Telnet application or use the Windows Telnet feature.
To connect to the router using the Windows Telnet feature:
1.
From the Windows Start menu, select Run.

opens.

Enter telnet followed by the router’s IP address.
The Telnet dialog box opens and the following prompt is displayed:
BayStack 820 Manager Console Version: <rev. number, build date and time>
Please enter your password:

Enter the password you use to connect to the router and then press
[Enter].
This password is the same one you use to connect to the BayStack 820 ISDN
Router Manager through a Web browser. The password you enter is echoed as
asterisks (*). If the password string is validated, the CLI command prompt is
displayed, and you can begin issuing commands. Otherwise, the password
prompt is redisplayed.
