4 x OC-3/STM-1 Access Module 

The module features 4 independent bi-directional ports, using modular Small
Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) optics that can be provisioned for different media
and distances.

The front panel of the module is shown below.

Figure 14. Front panel

Provides seamless service integration and migration for metro networks.
The module offers 4 channelized (VC-4/STS-3c, or 3 x STS-1 with AU-3
mapping) interfaces for transport of any 4 x OC-3 / STM-1 compatible services
(PDH, POS, ATM etc).

In normal operation the Power LED is lit and the Remove indicator LED is off.
The Request removal button is used when the Module should be replaced.

Status indicator LEDs provide information about the status of the port. Refer to
the Specifications chapter for more information about the indicators.

To insert, connect or replace the 4 x OC-3/STM-1 Access module, refer to
chapter Hardware Maintenance.

SFP Transceiver for 4 x OC-3/STM-1 Access Module

Transceiver used for duplex transmission of data in OC-3/STM-1, Data rate 155
Mbps. The Laser module for the OC-3/STM1 Access Module are removable and
can be changed depending on the distance to the other units in the network.
