infrared remote control
Infrared remote control commands that operate the Amplifier Module are available for download at
www.nilesaudio.com. These remote control commands are available in formats compatible with most
learning remote controls. Refer to
Figure 23
for a list of the remote control commands and a description of
their Amplifier Module function.
A Xantech IR Receiver’s 3.5mm, 3-conductor plug can be connected directly to the Amplifier Module and
located for convenient operation from an IR remote control (see
Figure 17
).
IR Input Contact Configuration: Tip = IR signal; Ring = Ground for power and IR signal; Sleeve = 12V to
power an IR receiver.
Important Note:
You must use a three conductor mini-plug (Tip/Ring/Sleeve) and connect only the Tip and Ring if you
are connecting the IR control output of an RF to IR base station or AV control system rather than connecting an IR receiver. The use of
a two conductor mini-plug (Tip/Sleeve) in this instance will short 12V to Ground and may cause damage to the Amplifier Module.
