poSition the amplifier module and optional Sw-t in the in-wall
mounting SyStem (powered modelS)
Small “L” shaped brackets mounted on the sides of the Amplifier Module (identical to the “L” brackets on
the Speaker Modules) are an installation aid that allows you to “hang” the Amplifier Module on the In-Wall
Mounting System making all connection terminals easy to see and connect. Working within the wall stud
placement and the Speaker Module positions, place the Amplifier Module in a position that first works best
with the optimal positioning of the Speaker Modules.
Note:
For installation in walls with vapor barriers and/or insulation, it is recommended to provide a minimum of 1” (25 mm)
clearance between the vapor barrier/insulation and the housing of the amplifier.
1. Rotate the left and right “L” brackets out to serve as hangers from the In-Wall Mounting System. Hang the
Amplifier Module in the position it will be inserted as shown in
Figure 9
.
2. Affix the Niles SWT to the backside of the SWT Bracket with the supplied double sided tape
(see
Figure 11 A
)
3. Identify a location for the SWT Bracket that does not interfere with other devices to be installed in the
mounting system (e.g. Amplifier/Speaker Modules and In Between Covers).
4. Rotate the SWT Subwoofer Transmitter Bracket into In-Wall Mounting System as shown in
Figure 11 B, c and D
.
