This equipment is a nonfunctional part designed to be connected to a LDS
Series Laser Diode Sensor supplied by NEWPORT.
The equipment composed of the sensor, the connection cable and the LDS1000
electronic controller, identified with the “ ” mark, meets all the necessary
requirements of:
• The European Directive 89/336/EEC, concerning Electro-Magnetic
Compatibility.
Generic standards
Emission: EN50081-1, “Residential, Commercial and Light Industry” stan-
dards.
Immunity: EN50082-2, “Industrial” standards.
• The Low Voltage European Directive 73/23/EEC.
Applicable standards
EN 60950: “Safety of data processing equipment”.
EN 60825-1: “Safety of laser equipment radiation”.
NEWPORT shall not be liable for any damage caused by:
• Modification of the product.
• Connecting the sensor to the LDS1000 Controller with a modified cable, or
one not supplied by us.
• Connection to additional equipment that does not comply with EC standards.
• Connection to additional equipment with cables that do not comply with
EC standards.
