Precautions for Changing the Configuration after Setup
If the network configuration has been changed after completing the setup, run the following command.
Important Configuration should be changed after setup is complete. If the configuration is
changed during setup, it can cause an unexpected behavior.
If the network settings of the ESXi host or root user password has been
changed
The process that runs on ftSys Management Appliance manages duplication by connecting with ESXi host.
If IP address or hostname of ESXi host, root user password has been changed, the process running on ftSys
Management Appliance will be unable to login to ESXi host.
Perform the following settings
1. Log in to ftSys Management Appliance as a root user.
2. Run the
configure-appliance
command. Then, enter the IP address or hostname of ESXi host, root
user name, and root user’s password.
# /opt/ft/sbin/configure-appliance

Execution example: When the IP address of log server is 192.168.0.7:
# /opt/ft/sbin/configure-appliance

Administrative user

3. After running the command, reboot ftSys Management Appliance.
Restart the virtual machine from Host Client, or run the following command.
