Chapter 1    Installing Operating System 

 

Firewall setting for the ESXi host 

Connect to the ESXi host from Host Client to configure. 

 

1.  Connect to the ESXi host from the Web browser, select [Networking] of Navigator, and select the 

“syslog” item shown in the table from the [Firewall rules] tab. 

Select [Enable] from the [Actions] menu or the items displayed by right-clicking. 

 

 

2.  Check that the "syslog" items are not disabled (displayed in gray) but enabled (displayed in black). 

From the [Actions] menu or [Disable] displayed by right-clicking, check again that the syslog is enabled. 

 

 

VMware ESXi has been installed.
