5. Log in to ftSys Management Appliance as a root user.
The initial password is "ftServer".
6. Run the following command on ftSys Management Appliance console.
# /opt/ft/sbin/ft-install /dev/cdrom
Important Do not collect a snapshot of the ft management appliance by using the snapshot
function of VMware before installing the ft control software. If ft-install is executed
after collecting a snapshot, the ft management appliance may not start up.
7. The EULA (End User License Agreement) information appears. Press the <Enter> key or <space> key
in response to the following message.

Display the EULA information till the end, and input “Yes” in response to the following message.
Do you accept the above terms and conditions (yes/no):
8. Details of “Current network configuration” appear. Input “1”.
9. Input the set values of the ft management appliance, and input “Y”.
Important
The ESXi host and ftSys Management Appliance must exist on the same network.
Specify the DNS server from which you can obtain a correct hostname and IP
address. If an inappropriate DNS server is specified, installation may fail.
Tips
Enter the setting value in the ft management appliance rather than the setting value on the
ESXi host.
Tips
Specify 24 for the prefix value to be input for IP Address/prefix if the Netmask value is
255.255.255.0. (Example of input) 192.168.1.1/24
