(2) Error reporting by beep
If POST detects a problem and is unable to display the error message, the beep code sounds instead of
displaying the message.
A beep code is a series of short beeps separated by pauses. For example, "1-3-3-1" indicates one beep, a
pause, three beeps, a pause, three beeps, a pause, and one beep.
The table below shows the beep code, cause, and solution.

1-3-3-1
No memory in the server.
Failed to detect a memory.
Make sure that the DIMMs are correctly
inserted. If the DIMMs are installed correctly,
contact your sales representative.
1-5-2-1
No processor in the server.
Failed to detect a processor.
Make sure that the processor is correctly
mounted. If the processor is installed correctly,
contact your sales representative.

POST detected an error.
Contact your sales representative.

BIOS update data was detected.
Wait until BIOS update completes.

Failed to read BIOS data.
Failed to execute BIOS.
Contact your sales representative.

Failed to initialize BIOS.

Failed to detect graphics controller.

An error was detected during allocating PCI
resources.
Remove all the installed PCI boards from PCI
slots, and then restart the server.
If the same error is detected repeatedly, contact
your sales representative.
