4.7.2 Removing the flat stand

The removal method of the flat stand is explained below.
When using the roll media, the flat stand installed on the printer must be removed.
Remove the flat stand according to the following procedure.

Important:

Make sure the power of the machine is OFF.

Caution :

When installing or removing the front stand 1, please make sure not to touch the
carriage or infrared lamp. Doing so may cause permanent damage.

Step 1 :

Please raise the front stand 1 unit with two persons until the guide pin comes off.

Step 2 :

Put the front stand 1 unit on the front stand 2 unit when guide pins come off. Please latch the
metal fittings on the side of the stand leg.

Step 3 :

The pushing-up-grip under the transportation stand is to be lowered (to be rotated right), and the
paper guide is pushed up. In this step, please operate carefully from injury.
