b. Lift the print head by slowly turning the head gap adjusting handle in the UP direction (clockwise)
until the head gap sensor lamp goes OFF again.

Keep a record of the head gap counter value at this time.

c. Finish the head gap adjustment.
Step 9 :
The media initial menu is displayed on the operation panel.
Step 10 :
Set the media width.
Caution :
Make sure the gap is big enough. Please not that the media tray is already 4 mm. In
case the gap is not big enough, the print head could crash onto the media, causing
permanent damage.
For example:
•
Media tray : 4 mm (40 on display)
•
Media : 3 mm (30 on display)
→
so the display must show at least 70.
Caution :
During printing on rigid materials, the fans will cool off the infrared lamp. Please note there
is no detection. Regularly check if the fans are working. You can do this by using a sheet of
paper holding between the fans and lamp housing.
