Car Reaction: All calls are cancelled. The car stops at the next available floor and opens both doors. The car
remains shut down until the detection means is manually reset and the fault reset via the iBox Fault Reset
button.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check all suspension members and related detection means input.
2. Related input: Suspension Members Monitor - Normally ON
Suspension Members Shutdown OFF
Description: The suspension members displacement detection means and fault have been manually reset.
Car Reaction: Car returns to normal service.
Troubleshooting: None
System Comm Disabled / SYSTEM COMM DISABLED
Description: The system communication has been disabled via the user command found in (System Configu-
ration >Building>System Comm Command).
Car Reaction: The controller will no longer communicate with the rest of the system (iCue, Local Dispatcher,
Hall Call Drivers,...) until the System Communication is manually re-enabled via the same command (this is
similar to pulling the orange System Comm cable from the iBox).
Troubleshooting: None.
System Comm Enabled
Description: The system communication has been re-enabled via the user command found in (System Con-
figuration > Building > System Comm command)
Car Reaction: The controller will now communicate with the rest of the system (iCue, Local Dispatcher, Hall
Calls, drivers,...).
Troubleshooting: None.
Swing Operation Activated, Swing Operation, SWING OPERATION
Description: Indicates car is in swing car operation, independent of Group Controller. Car should be servicing
hall call riser dedicated to car. Car will use settings from Simplex Hall Call and Parking settings from car Sim-
plex supervisor screens.
Swing Operation Deactivated

SYSTEM SYNC
Description: The iBox is establishing communication with the cartop and acquiring position data.
Tach Error Fault, TACH ERROR FAULT
Description: Difference between intended speed and speed feedback signal exceeded Following Error.
Car Reaction: Emergency stop: Motor and brake contactors immediately dropped. Followed by normal run.
Troubleshooting:

Tach Failure, TACH FAILURE
Description: Difference between synthetic tach signal and external speed feedback signal exceeded toler-
ance. DC controls only.
Car Reaction: Emergency stop: Motor contactor and brake contactor immediately dropped. Cancel all calls.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check velocity encoder and re-calibrate tach failure and synthetic tach. Please refer to “Tach Failure Cal-
ibration” on page 2-62 and see “synthetic speed Calibration” on page 4-18
.
TERMINAL LEARN ON
Description: This message indicates system prepared to learn speed and position values for normal (UNT1-5/
DNT1-5) and emergency (UETS/DETS) terminal switches.
