The SIO Transmit Buffer Registers are used to set transmit data. These registers are a write-only
register, so that the register contents cannot be read out. When setting transmit data in this register,
make sure the data is LSB-aligned, and that the data is written to D9-D15 for 7-bit data (UART
mode only), D8-D15 for 8-bit data, or D7-D15 for 9-bit data (UART mode only).
Before writing transmit data to this register, be sure to enable the Transmit Control Register TEN
(transmit enable) bit (by setting it to 1). Writing to this register while the TEN bit is disabled (= 0) has
no effect.
When data is written to the Transmit Buffer Register while the SIO is enabled for transmission, the
data is transferred from the SIO Transmit Buffer Register to the SIO Transmit Shift Register, upon
which the serial I/O status transmitting the data.
Note: When sending 7 or 8-bit data, the register can be accessed bytewise.
