Convenient use

Registering the case weight

When using the eco case, you need to register the case weight. Follow the steps below to register the case
weight.

Weigh the case of an empty cartridge on the scale.

• Do not attach the IC chip and the ink pack when weighing.

Press the

key in LOCAL.

Press

to select [MACHINE SETUP].

Press the

key.

Press

to select [INK REMAIN].

Press the

key.

Press

to select [Case Weight].

Press the

key.

Press

to choose the cartridge for which

you wish to register the weight.

Press the

key.

Press

to enter the weight checked at the

Step 1.

• If you replace the eco cartridge because the eco case is damaged, you need to register the case

weight again in order to set the remaining amount in the ink cartridge correctly.

• You can only register the case weight when SET UP (

P.3-16) in INK REMAIN is set to “ON”, and

the eco case use is enabled.
