Warning / Error Messages
If some trouble occurs, the buzzer sounds and the display shows a corresponding error message.
Take an appropriate remedy for the displayed error.

Message Cause Solution
The front cover or the maintenance
cover is opened.
• Check the front cover and maintenance
covers.
If the same error message appears again
even after closing all the covers, contact
your local distributor to call for service.
The media has not been detected. • Perform media detection.
The motor is OFF after the cover was
opened etc. • Close the front cover and maintenance cov-
ers.
An ink error occurred.
• Check the cartridge for the supply path cor-
responding to the indicated color.
Data was received. • Perform data clear. ( P.2-25)
The clamp lever is raised.
• Lower the clamp lever and detect the
media.
Message Cause Solution
Ink errors (unusable ink) occur in multi-
ple cartridges.
Ink supply (print, cleaning, etc.) cannot
be performed.
• Press the key to check the car-
tridge generating the warning.
Replace them with usable cartridges.
The waste ink tank is nearly full.
• Check the waste ink tank.
Press the key to correct or reset
the counter. ( P.4-35)
The waste ink tank is full.
Time to replace the wiper in the capping station
with a new one has come. (The wiping count
has reached the specified value.) • Press the key and replace the
wiper with a new one.
