Initializing the Flash Memory

When you initialize the flash memory, the following data is deleted.

Form data

Download demo print data

Saved menu settings

Confirm that [READY TO PRINT] is displayed on the machine.

Press «

∧

» button or «

∨

» button several times to display [ADMIN SETUP].

Press «OK» button.

When [ENTER PASSWORD] is displayed, enter the password.

The default password is "999999."

When the password has been entered, press «OK» button.

Press «

∧

» button or «

∨

» button several times to display [OTHERS SETUP],

and press «OK» button.

Press «

∧

» button or «

∨

» button several times to display [STORAGE SETUP],

and press «OK» button.

[ENABLE INITIAL] is displayed. If [NO *] is displayed on the bottom, proceed to
step 9. If [YES *] is displayed on the bottom, proceed to step 10.

The bottom flashes when «OK» button is pressed. Press «

∨

» button to display

[YES] on the bottom, and press «OK» button. (The flashing stops and [YES *] is
displayed.)

Press «BACK» button once to display [STORAGE SETUP]. Press «

∧

» button

once to display [FLASH SETUP], and press «OK» button.

Press «OK» button when [FLASH INITIALIZE / EXECUTE] is displayed.

When the confirmation message is displayed, press «

∧

» button or «

∨

button to display [YES] or [NO], and press «OK» button.

If you selected [NO], the machine returns to the previous
screen. If you selected [YES], a confirmation message is
displayed again.

If you selected [NO], the previous screen is displayed again, but since the machine
remembers that it needs to initialize the flash memory, the flash memory is
initialized the next time that the power is turned on.
