  Dots and Horizontal Streaks Periodically Appear in the Paper Feed

Cause

 

Remedy

 

Reference

 

If the period is approximately

 

63 mm, the glossy cylinder of the 

image drum is damaged or dirty.

 

Gently wipe it with a soft tissue. 

Replace the image drum unit if it is

 

damaged.

Unit

 

If the period is approximately 

26 mm, foreign material is

 

attached to the electrostatic roller

 

in the image drum.

 

Open and close the top cover or 

feeder cover, and perform printing 

again.

 

 

Names of Components

 

The image drum unit has been 

exposed to light.

 

Return the image drum unit to the 

inside of the machine and do not use 

the machine for several hours.

 

If this does not solve the problem,

 

replace the image drum unit.
