Licenses
The software license agreement that customers agree to before using the products included in the
package of the machine is indicated below.
• Request for Agreement
Please make sure to read this agreement before using the products included in the package of
the machine.
When a customer uses the products included in this package, the customer is deemed to have agreed
to the terms of this agreement.
If you do not agree to the terms of this agreement, please return the product to the dealer where it
was purchased.
Oki Data Corporation (hereinafter "Oki Data") grants the customer non-exclusive rights to use the
software included in this package (hereinafter "the software"), based on the following terms. Oki Data
reserves the right to license the use of the software to customers.
1. Scope of Use
The customer may use the software by installing its programs to multiple computers directly or via a
network, only while the customer owns an Oki Data printer that supports the software. The customer
may also make one copy of the software for backup purposes.
2. Property Rights and Responsibilities
(1) Oki Data and its licensers reserve the right to copy, publish, and own the software and its copies. The
configuration, structure, and code of the software are important confidential information for the business
of Oki Data and its licensers. The software is protected by copyright law in the United States and Japan
and international treaties, and must be handled in the same manner as books and other works.
(2) Except for the copy indicated in Clause 1, the software may not be duplicated, loaned, rented,
leased, transferred, or licensed, in full or in part.
(3) The customer agrees to not revise, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the
software.
(4) The customer agrees to not rename the software.
(5) The customer holds no rights regarding the software, except those recognized in this agreement.
3. Period
(1) The license granted to the customer for the software is valid until this agreement is terminated.
(2) The customer can terminate this agreement by discarding and erasing the software and all of its
copies.
(3) Oki Data reserves the right to terminate the license agreement granted to the customer if the customer
violates the terms of this agreement. When this agreement is terminated in such a manner, the
customer must discard and erase the software and all of its copies and stop using the software.
