Abduction Support
Fitting the abduction bracket
The abduction mounting bracket consists of a slotted plate
(A)
, 4 washers
(B -
underneath)
, and a plunger plate
(C)
.
Place a single screw
(D)
through the hole in the seat base, slide on the slotted plate,
washer and finally tighten the screw

by a few turns into the threads in the
plunger plate
(C)
. Do not tighten the screw
(D)
at this stage.
Screw in the rest of the screws
(D)
not forgetting the washer between the slotted
plate
(A)
and the plunger plate
(C)
.
Once all the screws are in position tighten all the four screws.
Fitting the Abduction Support
Pull the plunger
(E)
down from the front of the seat and slide the abduction support
(F)
into the bracket slot
(G)
. Release the plunger
(E)
and ensure the plunger has
engaged and the abduction support
(F)
is secure.
To remove the abduction support, pull the plunger down and slide the support out.
WARNINGS
1. Exercise caution when fitting the abduction support as the
footrest angling bracket may pose a risk of finger trap.
2. Ensure a safe gap is left between the user’s groin and the
abduction support.
