Fitting the Jacket/Sternum harness
Feed each of the shoulder straps through the appropriate slots in the backrest
padding and the metal backrest

Secure the shoulder straps into the two cam lock buckles
(B)
situated on the
backrest.
Feed the lower straps through the side slots in the backrest into the cam lock
buckle
(C)

Securing the Jacket / Sternum Harness
Push the male buckle on the straps into the female parts of the buckles located
on the jacket. To release the buckle press the release clip/ button.
WARNINGS
1. Ensure the jacket is not impeding the throat causing a
choking hazard.
2. Beware of the user leaning forward or sliding down the
seat, this could potentially cause asphyxiation by the
jacket.
3. Always release the jacket from the shoulder straps first.
4. Ensure the jacket position and size is reviewed monthly
to ensure it is correctly fitted and appropriate for the
user.
5. Regularly check the jacket for wear and tear, especially
the stitching on the webbing.
Adjusting the Harness
The length of the shoulder straps can be adjusted by the two cam lock buckles
located on the back of the backrest

The length of the lower straps can be adjusted by the two cam lock buckles
located on the back of the backrest

Correct harness fitting is attained when the harness fits snugly to the user’s
body but the caregiver’s hands can be inserted between the shoulder and
straps.
