Tilt in space
Pull and rotate the safety plungers

to disengage the tilt locks. With the
safety plungers in an ‘unlocked’ position hold onto the backrest handle
(B)
and
squeeze the lever

and angle the seat insert to the desired angle.
To lock the angle, release the lever

Upright position
Squeeze the lever
(C)
and rotate the seat to an upright position. To re-engage
safety plungers
(A)
pull and rotate the safety plunger so they engage.
To lock the seat tilt
With the safety plungers in the ‘locked’ position, squeeze the tilt in space lever
and tilt the complete seat until the safety plungers both engage in the lower
hole. Release the lever.
WARNINGS
1. Always hold onto the backrest handle to provide
additional security and control when tilting the seat.
2. Consult with the user’s health care provider for directions
on how to tilt the Discovery Seat. Inappropriate seat
angle may cause issues with some user’s breathing or
feeding.
3. Exercise caution when tilting the seat. Ensure the user’s
hands are not near the plastic sides as there is possibility
of a finger trap.
4. When using the Discovery Seat for transportation in
motor vehicles it is vital that the seat is tilted back and
the safety plungers are locked. Refer image

WARNING
Failure to lock tilt in space safety plungers will allow the
complete seat to tilt freely and in the event of an accident
may cause severe injury or death to the user or other persons.
