STEP 1
Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Crank the engine
Verify if P1341 is present?
Is P1341 present?
Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure
STEP 2
Are the bolts tight?
Check the flywheel mounting
bolts for tightness
Check the cam shaft/crankshaft
mounting bolts for tightness
STEP 3
STEP 4
Check for any damage on the
trigger wheel teeth
Check for proper mounting of
trigger wheel mounting screws
Is there any
damage/screws
loosened?
If the screws are loosened ,
tighten to torque
If toner wheel damaged, replace
it with a new one
Clear the DTC and verify
Check the sprockets and chain
for any damage
Is there any
damage ?
Replace the chain/sprocket
assembly with a new one
Clear the DTC and verify
Check for proper functioning of
hydraulic chain tensioner
If not functioining properly ,
replace with a new one
Tighten the bolts to the torque
specified
Clear the DTC and verify
